1. Never Share Confidential Information:-

Never share your OTP, PIN, password, CVV, ATM/debit card details or UPI PIN with anyone.

2. Beware of Phishing:-

Do not click on suspicious links received through SMS, email, WhatsApp or social media. Always verify the website address before entering your login or banking details.

3. Use Strong Passwords:-

Use strong and unique passwords for banking and email accounts. Do not use easily guessable information such as your name, date of birth or mobile number. Change passwords immediately if you suspect they have been compromised.

4. Be Careful with UPI Payments:-

UPI PIN is required only for making payments, not for receiving money. Do not approve unknown payment requests or scan QR codes provided by strangers. Verify the recipient's name and amount before completing a transaction.

5. Protect Your Mobile Phone:-

Keep your mobile operating system and banking applications updated. Install applications only from trusted official app stores. Avoid using banking applications on public or unsecured Wi-Fi networks.

6. Beware of Fake Customer-Care Numbers:-

Do not rely on customer-care numbers received through search engines, social media or unknown messages. Use only the bank's official website, passbook, statement or other verified communication to obtain contact details.

7. Do Not Allow Remote Access:-

Never install remote-access applications or share your screen at the request of an unknown person claiming to be a bank official or customer-care representative.

8. Monitor Your Bank Account:-

Regularly check your account transactions and SMS/email alerts. Report any unauthorised transaction immediately to your bank.

9. Report Cyber Fraud Immediately:-

If you notice an unauthorised transaction or suspect that you have been defrauded, contact your bank immediately and report the incident through the appropriate official cybercrime reporting channels.
